It does matter. Go to a law library and find a book of forms. It should be there.

Why should a felony offense be expunged? Did the criminal do the crime? Did the criminal get convicted? Is it fair for the criminal not to be known as a criminal? Part of the punishment for the crime is for the criminal to forever bear the shame of being a criminal.

Of course if sufficient “reasons” are given to the President then he (or she in a couple of years) may pardon the criminal.

Forget the cost of the forms. The lawyer you need to complete them properly already has them. Doing something wrong will cost more than the lawyer.

…you’ll first have to go to the Court that issued the decision… if it was a Jury your task is more complex… in any event your petition should be drafted by a “good Attorney” and then see if the Judge will even hear the motion… If the crime is against property you’ll have a better “chance”… if it was a crime againt a “person”… you might have a better chance of seeing God…
To “expunge” means that it never happened… and that is highly unlikely for the Court to grant….
