What happens when California declares bankruptcy?

Oct 26th, 2011

Question by Jack: What happens when California declares bankruptcy?
We all know California has 30-40 days left before it declares bankruptcy. It makes up a larger percentage of GDP to the United States then Greece does to the EU.

Liberals: Do you realize your currency is about to be worth nothing?

Or does spending 60% more then the United States earns in tax revenue on no roads and no jobs that produce anything always seem like a good idea?

Lighten up, Francis. Our currency is fine. In fact, it’s gained strength against others the past couple of months. CA will make it also.

Except this time, land is gold.
My family is bailing out of the state, where they have resided since the late 1950′s.

When? they are already paying their state workers with IOU’s. I vote they get off their hindends, gather up the illegals and deport their butts. They can’t afford to pay for illegals healthcare (are you hearing this AMERCIA) or their education. That would take a serious load off of them

They will just bail out California with money they don’t have. Liberals don’t care if the dollar becomes worthless. Why else would they just keep printing more and more money while incurring more and more debt.

Just the beginning jack, you might as well get used to it.

I think other states will have to follow, just a matter of time. I also think they will be predominantly Democrat states.

Hollywood will make a movie about it but then nobody will be able to afford to go and watch it.

-Have you noticed that “Hollywood stars” aren’t as flashy and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars like they were? I imagine they are getting hit too and having to cut back on their lifestyles. I doubt they are smart enough to regret their endorsements for the Spender in Thief though.

Unfortunately: if the state slides into the ocean, the results would be about the same. 33 million people,s lives destroyed…not by earthquake, but by corrupt Democrats spending like drunken sailors for 30 years!…and no one able to stop them…not even the Terminator…
…maybe he needs to reprise his roll and start terminating the Progressives that helped turn it into Mexifornia.

Arnold’s idea for State revenue was to further tax the casino/gaming industry. This of course led to more broken families … bankcrupcy … rehab etc.
California has the 3rd largest prison system in the world … only the US and China is larger. Somewhere in that miniscule albeit walnut sized brain of his there should be an alarm sounding that the “tough on crime” stance is not working. The mass majority of inmates are drug related charges and that further indicates the problems that occur when gov tries to dictate morality.
When I lived in California I wrote 3 letters to the governor expressing my concerns in a respectable fashion. He never wrote back. He is incompetant and the California residents are getting what they deserve.
