Q&A: Why wont the police get my sister that ran away? How can we find her?
Question by YO!: Why wont the police get my sister that ran away? How can we find her?
We just moved to North carolina 3weeks ago and the first week she ran away (whos 15). My mother and I both know where she would be but the police say they can’t get her without evidence (the only evidence we have is that was her last call but it was to a prepaid phone). She would be with her boyfriend back in Atlanta at his mothers house or his brothers (the guy is 18). We would go back to Atlanta but we have no clue of the houses he specifically (we tried handing out fliers in the area but nobody will talk to us and try to help and it’s a really bad area) stays in and the place he was in Jail in a few months before wont give us the address. We have no clue what she looks like now because she wears weave (my mom said when she came home there was some hair dye in the sick alone with hair. This just seems so hopeless, what else can we do? I just fill desperate right now and my mom is a nervous reck.
Yes 15 and 18 is legal in the state of Ga because the law is 4 year difference, then 16 is age of consent.

You just said that you don’t know where she is or what she looks like. How do you expect the police to find her, especially if she hasn’t committed any crime where she is?

Now that she has crossed state lines, this is a matter for the FBI. Contact them. Also, contact the Georgia State Police. You need to give them a few photographs of your sister and all of the information you have on this “boyfriend”, including where he was in prison.
