Because alternative energy is still too expensive. The market will determine when it is profitable to turn to these alternative forms of energy. Not the government. This will cause the market to go bad if the government tries anything. They forced it and now it cannot stand up because the market is not ready for it yet.

Whats a hoot is every time I see a wind farm being considered, people on the left have an objection to it.

Wind turbines are a joke. They’re inefficient and costly to maintain.
Nuclear and geothermal are the best options.
