My sisters children were recently taken into custody by Job and Family Services…(We live in Ohio). There are three children and they were split up between the paternal grandparents temporarily. I offered to take all three children in my home but was told that custody is offered to the grandparents first. Is there any legal action that I could take to obtain custody of the children?

what is your relationship like with the grandparents do you get on with them?i hope so otherwise you are going to be public enemy number 1 don’t put yourself in that position if they don’t want permanent custody i should imagine you should have a chance of taking them on you must speak to a lawyer though to see where you stand legally but keep the meeting secret for now you don’t want to be stepping on anybodys toes keep nuturel between the grandparents good luck
