Legal Aid help?

I live in New Jersey and need a lawyer, i can’t afford one so ive been trying to get ahold of legal aid, and they dont want to help me, they know nothing about me yet, the lady who answers never wants to put me threw to a lawyer!! What do i do!!!

Legal Aid will only help some cases. Call and ask for an intake counselor to see if you qualify for the cases that they handle. They might not be taken care of the legal matter that is affecting you. You might want to ask another question here.
