Question by Who Dat: how do you highlight sections of evidence attached as exhibits to legal documents?
I’m not a lawyer but can’t find a template for this anywhere. So I would love to know what is the best way to highlight a few words on a true and correct copy of exhibits to legal documents?

Thanks in advance.

If in your legal document you cannot accurately reference the part of an exhibit you are referring to with words (i.e., second paragraph, line 3, beginning with “…”) then you can use an actual highlighter to highlight the subject portion. However, you will want to make sure that all copies of the documents that are served on other parties, also have that portion highlighted. Often highlighted sections to do show up when copied on a copier, so you would need to re-highlight those sections on all copies.
