How do you feel about Chrysler bankruptcy?

Question by Happy Days: How do you feel about Chrysler bankruptcy?
plans are for Chrysler to file bankruptcy and the gov’t to take on all retirements, pensions, healthcare of all the workers. Aren’t you glad you pay a tax? You’ll not get one single penny out of me.
What about the fact they are going to steal your labor to finance their healthcare, pensions, and retirement plans?
Amazing, exactly one reason why I say give me secession or give me death.

They shouldn’t get a dime. The sub-standard product they have put out over the years borders on the criminal.

So now the government will continue bowing to the UAW, and this mess will get even worse. Gotta love unions; where else could you run a screwdriver putting bolts onto a chassis for $ 37/hr?

(Wifes’ uncle works/worked at the GM Janesville plant, and bragged about his employment. Chrysler can’t be that different)

The bailout money’s been flushed and Chrysler is ending up exactly where they should have a year ago. The only diff. is that a whole ton of money’s been wasted! I do not approve of the Feds using our money to pay Chrysler employee benefits either! Oh well, the Feds do exactly as they want whether we like it or not.

They should liquidate and forget all benefits just like every other industry is forced to do. I have never got a bonus for producing a bad product.

they were never a good company. if a company cant make it without being bailed out, they shouldnt be a company anymore.

I agree with you. The unions sucked the life out of the automakers, now they want us to give them titty milk. None of the Japanese owned companies who make and sell cars her in the US are in trouble.

It was inevitable that BHO would do more to make additional people totally dependent on the government. He wants the entire US population dependent on the federal government for every aspect of their life–that way the dems will never be thrown out based on the fears the dems will raise “vote Repub and you will lose [fill in the blank].”

My biggest concern is what happens to my warranty on my Pacifica. Chrysler made cra**y products except the Pacifica which got very high ratings from every car mag, consumer agency, you name it, and then the schmucks stopped producing it. Go figure. Bankruptcy was written all over the wall for these guys.

Neither bail nor private enterprise seem to work. Industry should be in the hands of the people.

UAW workers at GM get a nine week tax payer paid vacation thanks to Comrade Obama.

The days of unionized manufacturing ended (or should have) in the 20th Century. With globalized free trade, there is just no way you can offer a very generous benefit package and stay competitive.

I am sad about the Chrysler bankruptcy and realize that after Ford, Honda and Toyota will be the dominant manufacturers and auto sellers in the United States.
